BIOHILLS BLACK PEPPER
Black pepper is produced from the still-green, unripe berries of the pepper plant. The fruits of the organic pepper, are carefully selected for the process of cooking under an ideal temperature; once cooked, they are dried in an environmentally friendly sun-drying system. The green berries turn black and wrinkled during the drying process. Finally, the black pepper is manually packed in paper bags.
Black pepper gets its spicy heat mostly from piperine derived from both the outer fruit and the seed. BIOHILLS black pepper contains approximately 7% piperine by mass.
